Cheshire is found in North West of England and is divided into four districts, East Cheshire(374,179) ,West Cheshire(332,210), Warrington(206,428) and Halton( 126,354) ending up with a total population of 1.004 million (census 2007).The diverse economy with important sectors in Cheshire and central Chester are the hub for most part of the farming sector of UK. It encompasses approximately an area of land of about 2,343 square kilometers (905 sq mi). The population density is 32 people per km², smaller than the North West average of 42 people/ km² and the England and Wales average of 38 people/km²

As per 2001 Census, of those aged between 0–14 years, 51.5% were male and 48.4% were female; and of those aged over 75 years, 62.9% were female and 37.1% were male.

 Where the population stood at 656,050 in 1991, Cheshire has seen an increase in the population of 2.63 % which is lower than the average increase in population in England as a whole resulting from a positive natural change followed by a lower than percentage change in net migration. 

With its rich cultural and historical background, the county of Cheshire continues to welcome more and more people in the area due to its stable administrative political divisions, well established tourism industry which guarantees job and continues to encourage farming and rearing with a high concentration of villages. Cheshire is considered to be an affluent county. Due to its proximity to the cities of Manchester and Liverpool and counter urbanization is common.
